“Kid-Friendly” is one of the names that Escondido is known for because of the many youth programs that are here in this community. Founded in 1888, Escondido’s thriving community that offers both city life as well as a laid back country life. Escondido resides more than 120,000 residents which is North San Diego County’s largest city. There are two annual street fairs that are held in downtown Escondido on the third Sunday of May and October. It’s sponsored by the Escondido Chamber of Commerce which the events annually attract more than 640 vendors and 60,000 people. Just south of Escondido is the world-famous San Diego Wild Animal Park that is a 1,800-acre wild animal preserve that features a safari monorail, hiking trails. You can have fun indoors by enjoying the Iceoplex Ice Center this is a $61 million dollar complex featuring two Olympic-sized ice skating rinks and a full exercise complex.
